Itunes music wont play.?

Hey so I just re installed windows on my computer and got everything working again, but when i installed itunes it doesn't work. Like when i try to open it a message comes up that says " itunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. audio/video playback may not work properly" Then itunes comes up and looks like everything working alright until i try to play some music. Nothing plays and the timer stays at 0 seconds, but my audio works for everything else. I looked around and tryed everything to get it to work but its still messing up. If someone could help me out and tell me what i could do that would be great.
