1080 p Video playback ?

I have a 8 years old computer with 68 mb onboard graphic card.I can't play 1080p videos. It lags so much. is it possible to install new graphic card to AGP slot with 1.7 gh celeron cpu & 768 mb RAM to play 1080p videos. any recommend is appreciated?
